The ongoing movement regarding reservation in Delhi is justified. I would urge the Honorable Prime Minister to consider abolishing the reservation system in our country. If reservation must be provided, it should be for the truly destitute—offering support in education or through the ration system—but it should function as a subsidy.
It is unfair that one person passes by scoring 40 while another fails despite scoring 70; this creates disparity. In any competitive examination, candidates must succeed based on merit; otherwise, the state or the country will not end up in capable hands. We encourage the younger generation to step forward, but we must reflect on how we are actually shaping them. A nation is built upon a strong foundation. It creates significant inequality in India's administration when individuals from ST or OBC categories receive faster promotions simply because they hold a specific certificate, while candidates from the General category—despite possessing the necessary merit—are denied promotion. Please consider this matter and introduce a bill in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to ensure that people from all communities can access benefits through a fair and proper system, without creating any discrimination.
